Can you imagine this - the signature is bothering you and then you give a lower rate?!?! And this is such a good great superb classic portrait in great BW IMHO - incredible, only because of the author`s signature?!?! and what about the rest? You are too severe in your ratings Andre, and whitout any good reason - I mean - the author signature!!!! If you do it to me, it would be fair, but a lower rate for such a great Photographer as Zemkov is an insult! and Zemcov is a Master of Portraits and he will pardon you! Sorry, I had to tell you this, as I am looking how you are not fair in your ratings on all photographs and the injustice bothers me very much!

I remove 1 point to every vote I cast for graphic signatures and borders bigger than one pixel. Otherwise there is no limit at what photographers will do to attract attention. I dont look at who is signing the picture wether it be Zemkov or Youssef Karsh, yourself or myself, signatures should not be allowed.

I am sorry dear Andre, this has some logic, but still, I think IMHO that the author has the right to insert his/her signature under his/her work :) especially in this era of internet, where a lot of people are stealing others photographs, so the signature is a little protection :) well, you have your principles I have mine :) Peace :

Спасибо :-) я не маэстро, просто захотелось вспомнить детство, в пионерском возрасте занимался в кружке от "Ленфильма" при доме пионеров, кино снимать мне уже не по карману, а вспомнить навыки по фотографии от ленфильмовских мастеров пока ещё могу.
Помните и хорошо. Но если так рассуждать, то весь Ленинград стал большим кладбищем после блокады. Но жизнь продолжается и если из города делать сплошной монумент, то нет. Главное чтоб помнили.
Обобщать не стоит. Вот творчество как вы говорите "сегодняшних" Постарайтесь посмотреть, попросите помочь посмотреть кого-нибудь, как вы говорите из "сегодняшних"
